There may be nothing more exciting than starting a vocational school program. At that point, the student has weighed their options, selected a future occupation, and is ready to start learning and gaining new skills.

At Pennco Tech, we believe working hands-on in a trade career is satisfying and provides room for career advancement. When students access financial aid, including student loans, to help pay for tuition and other educational expenses, they sometimes need help with financial management. For students in our vocational school programs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, that’s where the Student Loan Counseling Department at Pennco Tech can help.

Focus on Student Goals

At Pennco Tech, our priority is to help students achieve their goals. Our trade career programs support the abilities of students to support themselves financially, advance in fulfilling careers, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. To those ends, we want to help students complete their programs and gain employment in their new occupation. Our services are available to students at both campus locations, in Blackwood, NJ, and Bristol, PA.

We formed the Student Loan Counseling Department in November 2011, and it has continued to evolve and support the mission of our vocational school. We assist students to help them understand the obligations and responsibilities that go with student loans. Our staff is available to help students comprehend the benefits of financial aid on their lives and to help them take the necessary steps to repay student loans.

Tools and Counseling for Managing Financial Aid

To investigate how each student can best navigate through the required financial management, we keep the lines of communication open throughout their participation in the vocational school program and after graduation. We endeavor to promote an understanding of all financial obligations associated with student loans and provide resources that help plan repayment strategies. We can help explain financial details regarding amounts, payment timelines, and interest rates.

Cultivating a positive relationship with students and graduates, the Student Loan Counseling Department staff can assist with the examination of financial resources, budget planning, and setting realistic goals. Our goal is to help students avoid defaulting on loans, becoming delinquent, or falling behind in payment schedules.

We want to help walk you through methods for improving your credit rating and help you maintain solid financial footing as you start a new trade career. With over 10 years of experience with student loan counseling, we have the resources to help you handle this step of the educational process.
